Sara's Birthday Weekend

This weekend we were able to see Sara and celebrate her 15th birthday! Her actual birthday is on the 23rd, but since the next time we see her will be for Thanksgiving, we wanted to celebrate early! So Friday we all loaded up, Kali was on fall break, so we were all able to go...

We had a little melt down with Presley. I forgot her pacifier at the house and didn't realize it until we were truckin down the road. So we made an emergency stop at walmart and picked some up. Life was ok after that...!

Sara wanted Olive Garden for her birthday dinner..who am I to say no to that, lol.

Presley was such a good girl at the restaurant...never heard a peep out of her!

Daddy with all his girls

After dinner we came back to the house so she could open her present...

which was a basket with some beauty products and a gift certificate to get her hair and eyebrows done

and of course a zip up jacket...a girl can never have to many of those! Love them :)

Kali made her her birthday card!

And then it was time for some ICE CREAM CAKE..Chocolate upon the request of the birthday girl!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to Sara, Happy Birthday to you!

Guess she was a fan of the cake, lol!

The Lynn Sisters!

Daddy played a little tunes for Miss Presley

And then was time for her first ride on her daddy's shoulders. She had a blast.

I don't remember how but Kelly and I got talking to Kali about holidays and what each one meant and why we celebrate it. We talked about how Christmas is celebrated because it is Jesus' birthday and when I asked her why we celebrate Easter, she told me it was because of eggs. So it was time to break out the Resurrection Rolls..lol.

I found the recipe on Pintrest and had the girls make them. While they were putting them together, I had Kali read what each step meant. I think she got it?

She was so serious about wrapping up her marshmallow Jesus!

We were waiting for them to cook!

Finished product.

She was so proud. I told her that she had to explain to her dad what they were and what they meant...she asked if we could make them again so I guess they were a hit!

I had such a nice laid back weekend. It was so nice having all the girls together and having Kelly here. Wish we could do it every weekend.

  1. Miss Kali went to a Christian preschool and was taught what Easter meant. Her memory is selective. Ha. Great blog Molly.
