Since the weather was nice and Kelly was home for the weekend, we decided to take the kids to the Pumpkin Patch. We didn't go to the same one we went to last year (Chester's Party Barn) because they were closed so we found another one right down the road...TGFarms. It was ok.
First thing first...pic of the girls. I have realized that if I want a pic of the kids together, better get it done at the beginning otherwise...won't happen, lol.
Then it was off to see how tall Kali is. She measured 4 feet 2 inches! Growing like a weed!
They had pony rides for the kids. Kali got up on that pony like a pro...I think she is ready for the big ones (oh I wish!) But anyhoo...
Makin her way around the pen...
And we're done.
Presley and Kelly watching Kali on her pony ride...well Kelly was watching..Presley was off in her own little world!
After the pony rides we took a hay ride around the field. Happy to report Presley has no hay allergies...yeah!!!!
She was having a good ole time playing in the hay.
After the hay ride Kali and Kelly wanted to go walk through the corn maze and since little one was getting cranky I knew it was time for a nap. So we ventured off to a shaded part and sat on a hay bail and she took a nap. I did what I love to do when we are out and about and that is people watch. If I could find a job where I could be paid to sit there and watch everyone else...I would be in hog heaven. But until then I will just continue on this nursing track :)
They had about 4 of these tire horses set up and so of course we had to get on and try it out. It was so windy at this point that she really didn't need to try very hard to get herself going...the wind gave her some good pushes.
Kali got to feed some of the animals...
She was nervous as first...we kept telling her to put her hand out flat and just put it up to their mouths. She kept getting scared when she would get close so I held her hand up there so she wouldn't pull away and after that she was cool with it. As you can see, she wasn't really sure about the whole thing, lol.
These were my favorite...makes me thing of being at the farm. I was trying to get them to get up so they would come over by me and I could let Presley touch them. And of course every kid need to experience baby calves sucking on their fingers. But those two weren't having any part of it. So I guess Presley will just have to wait till we go to Uncle Bill's farm next summer.
They had 1 pig. And he really was having no part of seeing anyone. He was comfy and wasn't moving. Which I can't blame him.
Presley even got to have an up close look at the pony. She would stick her feet in the poor things face and then kick her feet..poor pony.
It was time to go find our pumpkins. They had mostly small ones so we got some for the front porch. We are going to wait and get our big ones closer to Halloween so they don't go bad before than. While Kelly and Kali went on their pumpkin hunt, I had to kick the stroller in 4 wheel drive to get through those rows.
Kelly found Presley her pumpkin! I am not a fan of Halloween but I do enjoy a good pumpkin farm. It was a fun day.
