4 Months Old!

You are 4 months old now...I can't believe it. You are changing everyday and growing up so fast. I love it! I love watching you do new things all the time. On your 4 month birthday we went to Kali's last soccer game of the season, then to Braums for her after season soccer treat from her coach, then to Oklahoma City to the Red hawks Stadium for a family fun day, then that evening your Dad took Kali to a Haunted House so you and I hung out at the home together. I love hanging out with you, you make me laugh all the time :)

You don't go to the doctor for your 4 month check up until the end of the week but I will post all that later...but for now...

*You are wearing a size 2 diaper. We have found out that Pampers work the best on you!
*You talk non-stop. No matter where we are, if people around you are talking loud, then you will just get louder and jabber away.
*EVERYTHING goes to the mouth now -- I think your teeth are moving around in that tiny little mouth of yours.
*Constantly drooling -- you have now started wearing a bib pretty much the entire time you are awake
*Your sleep schedule is SLOWLY getting back to where it was before when you only woke up once in the middle of the night.
*You are wearing 3-6 month clothes.
*You hate being in your car seat in the car when it is dark out. You will scream pretty much the whole time
*Still only being breastfed, however, when we go to your doc apt we are supposed to talk about starting you on some rice cereal.
*You smile and get excited when Kali talks to you and plays with you
*You like hanging with Daddy
*Still only rolling over from belly to back. You don't even want to try back to belly.
*I think if you could totally bypass the rolling over and crawling and go straight to standing up and walking, you totally would.
*Always trying to pull your self up when you are laying down
*Slowly getting more hair..in some light it looks like it has a little red tint, other times it looks brown or a little blonde on top..kinda like your dad's beard!

I am excited to see what you are weighing these days and how long you are. But most importantly you are healthy and a very happy baby!

Red Hawks Stadium Family Day

After the soccer game and Braums we headed to Oklahoma City to the Red Hawks Stadium for Family Day! This was the first time I had been to the field...now I want to go back and watch a game, lol.

We had an "adopted daughter" for the day. Madeline played soccer with Kali and she wanted a friend to come with her so Maddie was up for the task. They had a lot of fun together and I think Kali enjoyed it even more having someone her own age to run around with!

First stop was to get a balloon animal...what I learned from this...get the balloon animal on the way out! Cause guess who got to hold on to the balloon animal..lol.

Ok so it wasn't so much a balloon animal as it was a balloon heart sword or heart on a stick...I don't know! Call it what you want! But look how much she likes it!!!

They got to paint little pumpkins....

And got to stick their hands in different creepy gross stuff...they had dried tomatoes, witches fingers and  eyeballs...yuck!

This was Kali's favorite bounce house..you went in one end and slid down the other side. They girls were in there for a good 20 mins if longer..

Presley and I just hung out while they jumped and Kelly stood in line to get us some lunch...what a good hubby he is!

Freeman, Amanda and Hailey went with us also. Here is Miss Hailey is in her OU Cheerleader costume..she is such a fun little girl.

Red Hawks Field...such a pretty sight. Makes me think of going to Cardinal games when I was little with my dad at the old Bush Stadium.

Since the girls were to busy playing at the Family Day, on our way home we stopped at McDonald's so they could get a happy meal. Kali's face makes me laugh..it looks like this is the first time she has ever seen a happy meal! lol.

Last Soccer Game

Last soccer game of the season as The Pretty Pirates. We didn't win but they played great. Kali scored a goal and did great.

After the game, Coach Jackson treated the girls to a Braums ice cream cone. Thank you Coach!

The girls each got a trophy, with their name on it and a metal.

Enjoying that ice cream :)

Carving Pumpkins

Friday night we were going to go to Haunt the Zoo, but when we got there it was a mess and ended up leaving before we even got the tickets. Kali was a little bummed so instead of trick-or-treating at the zoo (which when we talked to some friends who went, we didn't miss anything), we came home and Kali carved our pumpkins. Freeman and Amanda were in town and came over and hung out for a while also, so it was kinda like a little carving party :)

Kali drew what she wanted the guys to carve out on each of the pumpkins. lol.

Now let me just say how wrong a couple of things in this picture are..lol. Check out the knife Freeman has and the drink that is sitting next to him, lol. My only request was for no one to cut off a finger cause I was really tired and didn't want to have to take anyone to the ER. Something about Men + big knives + drinks + pumpkins = something not good...

see I told you, it doesn't turn out good..lol.

Kali didn't want to get her hands messy when she was scrapping all the guts out so she put on a pair of gloves...I told her she was missing out on half of the fun of doing pumpkins, lol.

But she did them all and her Dad cooked some of the seeds for her also!

Friday Night B-Ball Game

The Tigers played Friday night and did awesome. It ended up being quite the nail bitter of a game. We were up by 6 and the other team came back and was in the lead...

The girls were makin their lay-ups and making great passes..

Kali had a couple steals on defense. In the last quarter we managed to win by 1 basket. Both teams played hard and very well.

Cook-A-Doodle-Doo!

Today Kali had a music program at school. She had one performance this morning for the whole school and then another one this evening for the parents. However, while she was at school, I needed to get some cleaning done and since miss thing is now at the point where she is to mobile to leave on the couch but doesn't want to sit in the swing...I tried something new today.

I put her in the walker!!! Look at her hold her head up! It worked so well..I was able to clean and she was entertained!

Look, her feet don't even touch the ground yet...lol.

Presley was waiting for her big sister to take the stage and sing her songs. The little stinker has been fussy for me all day and now that her dad is home she is nothing but smiles and wants her daddy to hold her....just remember who feeds you kid!! lol

3rd Graders take the stage! Kali is third row from the top at the very end waving at me! They sang about 10 songs (all were short) and very cute.

She did a great job!

Then they moved to the floor where they did a couple of dances. She is second from the right..kinda blurry but I couldn't get her standing still, lol.

All three 3rd grade classes. You all did such an awesome job and we really enjoyed it! Go Adams All Stars!!!

While we were there, an older gentleman came up to Kelly to thank him for serving our country and gave him this star patch. On the back it  said..."I am part of the American Flag that you serve. I have proudly represented the U.S.A. I can no longer fly. The Sun and Storms have caused me to become tattered and torn. Treasure me near your heart as a reminder that you are loved and not forgotten.

Headbands

Over the weekend there was a consignment sale going on at the Norman County Fairground that my friend asked me to go with her to and proceeded to tell me everything was 1/2 off...why heck yeah I will go. I'm all about some 1/2 off sales! Let me preface this and say I am sooo eating my words right now. I always said I wasn't going to be "that mom" that put her little girl in those huge bows and flower on her head. I always said they had to be size appropriate for the size of head. Ummm, yeah that went out the window after I put my first bow on Presley's head....

This was her first bow! The day I brought her home from the hospital...doesn't she look like a little present. I LOVE IT!

And now we have gone to this.....

lol! I understand now why moms put these things on their little girls head...they make us laugh, they look adorable and every child needs to look back at their baby pictures and be able to say. "gosh mom, really!" So Presley, you're welcome ahead of time, lol.

So yes as you probably already guessed the flowers were 1/2 off. Oh and I got a yellow one and brown one as well. Her dad can't stand them, but as you can see...she loves them :)

Side note: I also found her Halloween costume there as well and am just so excited to put her in it. Of course I put it on her the minute we got home and laughed so hard and thought she was just the cutest thing EVER but y'all are going to have to wait till Halloween...trust me, it is worth the wait!

Breakfast at Hasslers

Sunday we got up somewhat early (and when I say somewhat early, I mean around 10ish) and headed over to our favorite little restaurant, Hasslers, for some tasty breakfast.

Nothing better than eating some yummy food in your pj's, right?!?!

Well one of them looks like she is enjoying her time with the family...don't know about the other one, lol. We always have a good time at Hasslers!

Kali was grubbin on some tasty biscuits and gravy..

And Presley was hoping she would share with her! In due time kiddo...She is such a good baby out in public. Yes we have had one or two meltdowns but for the most part, she is so laid back and just likes to watch everyone around her.

We had to make a stop at Walmart on our way home because Kali was going to a birthday party for one of the girls on her soccer team, so we had to get a gift. So we made it a family trip :) While we were on our way home Presley started screaming about something. So I got her in the house and out of her car seat and that wouldn't calm her down..then Kelly turns football on the tv....

And seriously this was her right after she saw that football was on...perfectly fine! She sat there and watched it until she fell asleep.

The Pumpkin Patch

Since the weather was nice and Kelly was home for the weekend, we decided to take the kids to the Pumpkin Patch. We didn't go to the same one we went to last year (Chester's Party Barn) because they were closed so we found another one right down the road...TGFarms. It was ok.

First thing first...pic of the girls. I have realized that if I want a pic of the kids together, better get it done at the beginning otherwise...won't happen, lol.

Then it was off to see how tall Kali is. She measured 4 feet 2 inches! Growing like a weed!

They had pony rides for  the kids. Kali got up on that pony like a pro...I think she is ready for the big ones (oh I wish!) But anyhoo...

Makin her way around the pen...

And we're done.

Presley and Kelly watching Kali on her pony ride...well Kelly was watching..Presley was off in her own little world!

After the pony rides we took a hay ride around the field. Happy to report Presley has no hay allergies...yeah!!!!

She was having a good ole time playing in the hay.

After the hay ride Kali and Kelly wanted to go walk through the corn maze and since little one was getting cranky I knew it was time for a nap. So we ventured off to a shaded part and sat on a hay bail and she took a nap. I did what I love to do when we are out and about and that is people watch. If I could find a job where I could be paid to sit there and watch everyone else...I would be in hog heaven. But until then I will just continue on this nursing track :)

They had about 4 of these tire horses set up and so of course we had to get on and try it out. It was so windy at this point that she really didn't need to try very hard to get herself going...the wind gave her some good pushes.

Kali got to feed some of the animals...

She was nervous as first...we kept telling her to put her hand out flat and just put it up to their mouths. She kept getting scared when she would get close so I held her hand up there so she wouldn't pull away and after that she was cool with it. As you can see, she wasn't really sure about the whole thing, lol.

These were my favorite...makes me thing of being at the farm. I was trying to get them to get up so they would come over by me and I could let Presley touch them. And of course every kid need to experience baby calves sucking on their fingers. But those two weren't having any part of it. So I guess Presley will just have to wait till we go to Uncle Bill's farm next summer.

They had 1 pig. And he really was having no part of seeing anyone. He was comfy and wasn't moving. Which I can't blame him.

Presley even got to have an up close look at the pony. She would stick her feet in the poor things face and then kick her feet..poor pony.

It was time to go find our pumpkins. They had mostly small ones so we got some for the front porch. We are going to wait and get our big ones closer to Halloween so they don't go bad before than. While Kelly and Kali went on their pumpkin hunt, I had to kick the stroller in 4 wheel drive to get through those rows.

Kelly found Presley her pumpkin! I am not a fan of Halloween but I do enjoy a good pumpkin farm. It was a fun day.
