Friday, Presley had her 4 month check-up with Dr. Milligan. She had had a runny nose and a little cough a few days before hand so I was curious to see if she was still going to get her shots, but since she didn't have a fever and otherwise seemed fine...they poked her twice and gave her an oral vaccine. Poor kid.
She looks so big laying naked on the table :) She was telling me how much she really did not like what was going on, lol.
All she needed was mommy to talk to her and everything was a-ok! She was 11 lbs 24 inches long. Now she has grown two inches, however she has only gained 1 lb since her 2 month check-up. Dr. Milligan didn't seem to be to concerned with this and said that since she had gained something and wasn't loosing or staying the same, he wasn't going to really worry yet. He just wants us to come back in two weeks for a weight check and another exam. We talked about starting rice cereal and veggies so hopefully we can bulk her up some :)
She loves looking at herself in the mirror these days! I wish I had a mirror like this at the house, it would probably make tummy time a little more enjoyable for her! Most of the time when I put her down on the floor on her belly she just screams! So needless to say we don't do to much of it around the house, lol.
This was a sign they had sitting on the counter in the exam room. The only reason I took a picture of it and am putting it in the blog is to see how much things change between Presley and the next addition. For instance...I remember my mom giving us juice (90% water and 10% juice) when we were little. So I asked the doctor when we could start that...well apparently now a days they say No to juices unless the child is constipated. They want you to stick with only milk or water. Really! No juice! I think I will have to sneak a bottle or two here and there...every kid needs juice...right!?!?!
