5 Months

Well miss thing you are officially 5 Months old. Which just blows me away because I still think of you are the tiny little thing I brought home from the hospital..but now a days you are anything but itty bitty...

* You are still in a size 2 diaper...either huggies or pampers
* Wearing 3-6 month clothes but the sleepers need to be 6-12 month for the length because you are a long little girl.
* You are eating oatmeal with 1/2 jar of fruit in the mornings, and rice cereal with 1/2 jar of veggies and 1/2 jar of meat. So far the only food you don't really care for are pears and turkey with turkey gravy (I don't blame you, I tried it and it was pretty nasty)
* Still nursing all the time
* Still waking up every 3 hours or so throughout the night.
* You can now touch the ground in your walker and have figured out how to go backwards.
* Still only rolling from front to back, when you are on your back you will twist your butt and legs over but you haven't figured out what to do with that arm you are laying on.
* You talk up a storm
* After dinner and your bath, it is time to play. You get very wiggly and very loud...I love it
* You still love to play with Kali.
* You are not afraid of the three crazy dogs that will come up and lick your face when you are in the walker. You just pat their noses and let them do whatever to you.
* Every time we go out in public you are so well behaved. You are told all the time how cute you are by everyone and you smile so big when someone stops and talks to you.
* I swear I have heard "momma" come out of your mouth a couple times, but hasn't been consistent enough to claim you can talk yet
* You will reach for people when they want to hold you
* You love playing around with Daddy.

Beating Up Dad

Miss thing has figured out how to kick, push, and swing her arms and hit! Love this stage, lol!

Presley loves it when Kali does ANYTHING with her. Even if it is just sitting on the couch and coloring.

As long as she can hang out with her big sister, all is good.

Thanksgiving 2011

We headed up to Fort Smith for Thanksgiving this year. My mom and sisters went to Germany, Dad was in China and Ben stayed in Lawrence to work...so we went and stayed with Gwen and the kids. We were able pick up Sara and take her with and spend the whole week with her...it was so nice to have all the girls together.

Sara got Kali to play with her hair on the car ride....jealous! I would love to have someone play with mine.

Once we got to Gwen's someone of us passed out on the couch...

some of us went and read some books...

and some of us put reindeer antlers on and had a blast. :)

Yes they decided that they wanted to take Garrett's mattress off his bed and use it to slide down the stairs..Aunt Gwen said it was ok so they collected a bunch of blankets and pillows and put them at the bottom on the stairs for something to fall into..Let me just state that I  Sara still has a somewhat broken ankle so of course I had to voice my concern about that but you can see how far that went :)

The mosh pit

I love Garrett's face...he was having a blast! Poor kid didn't weigh enough that sometimes he went faster than the mattress!

They went down every way imaginable and happy to report that aside from the already semi broken ankle, we had no other injuries!

Gwen had to work the Wednesday before Thanksgiving so I offered to watch all the kiddos..so Nanny, being the awesome Nanny she is, she came over to hang out with us as well.

Cousins hanging out

Nanny introduced Presley to the cold water bottle...she loved it on her gums.

I love this little girl :)

Already planning on how they are going to give me MORE gray hairs!

The day before Thanksgiving I took the girls "Christmas shopping" (will explain later)..Sara curled Kali's hair and it turned out so cute.

I found a cute Thanksgiving shirt on Pinterest that I wanted to make for Presley for her first Thanksgiving..and since it was so cute, I had one made for Gina as well...they were too cute in their matching shirts :)

Our first Thanksgiving together :)

While we were home, Presley got to spend some time with her BFF. I swear they look like an old couple..holding hands and all, lol.

Didn't take any pics on Thanksgiving, but it was fun. We had lunch at Mimi and Papa's, then back to Gwen's later that afternoon for dinner with Linda's side. There was a house full and was a lot of fun.

Children's Place

I wanted to remember this little conversation Kali and I had today so I figured what better place to put it then here :) I had to run by Children's Place today so I waited until I picked Kali up from the bus stop since I would be out anyways.

So we are walking around the store...
Kali: Oh this is pretty. I want this. Molly it is only $9.95
Me: I have your  birthday money with me, if you want to spend your money you can get it.
Kali: What! I can't believe this is $9.95! That is to expensive. It should only be like $3.00.
Me: Totally different when it is your money, huh?
Kali: Yeah, that should not cost that much!

Made me laugh. She had no problem spending my money..lol. She ended up buying a sweater and a Christmas ring :)

On To The Tournament

Saturday afternoon Kali had her last basketball game of regular season. I sat by myself (well I had Presley wiggling on my lap) but Kelly wasn't with me cause he has been having fun at Deer Woods. Let me say, it wasn't as fun by myself as it usually is with him with me.

Her daddy is always telling her to hustle :)

She has a great coach this season (not that Coach Chris last year wasn't good) but Coach Markus has taught these girls so much.

D.E.F.E.N.S.E

She got fouled twice and almost made the free throws...when I say almost, I mean pretty much they all  hit the rim and would bounce out.

Way to go Tigers!!! We are on to the tournament now after Thanksgiving! Let's hope we win them all!

Weight Check, Turkey Day Lunch and Cookies

Presley had her two week weight check up today to see if she put on any poundage since her 4 month check up...and SHE DID! She gained a whole pound! She is now up to 12 lbs 7 oz!

She loves that mirror! Her nurse said that she looked great and to keep up what we are doing at home! Way to go kiddo!

Since Kelly was getting his car packed up to head to deer woods for the week, I took Presley to Dr. Milligan's by myself and afterwards headed back to the house to meet Kelly so we could go to Kali's school and have Thanksgiving lunch with her

Doesn't she look older than a 3rd grader!?! We had turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, cranberry sauce (yuck) and pumpkin cake. Pretty tasty!

Presley enjoyed seeing where her big sister eats lunch everyday..I think Kali liked showing her off also :)

The three musketeers! These are her best friends Kimberly and Maylin. I sat next to Kimberly during lunch..she was so cute...she kept telling me how adorable Presley is, ha ha ha.

Crazy kids!

After lunch Kelly headed straight for deer woods and I had to run errands and then make it home in time to get Kali from the bus stop.

Check out who is sitting in the stroller like a big girl! This was her first time being out of the car seat and she did great!

She sat so good and just chewed on those fingers!

Since it is just us girls this weekend, after dinner Kali asked if we could make some of the cookies we ordered from her fundraiser at school...so we made some candy cookies..

I love how Presley was so into watching Kali put the cookies on the cookie sheet. She just sat there and watched her the whole time

Of course once you have the first batch in the oven, you HAVE to eat some raw cookie dough! So we each had one raw cookie..it was pretty yummy!

Since she couldn't have a cookie she wanted to eat the side of her chair! Yes I do feed my child and no she does not go hungry! I was getting her dinner ready and she was blowing on her chair making noises! lol.

Messy Girl

So we like eating but we are still working on getting most of it in our mouth!

Presley likes to play while eating...at this point, if it gets it in her mouth without her screaming...she can do whatever, lol!

Being goofy!

After she eats, we usually go straight to the bathtub because we have yet to have a night where it doesn't go up her nose, in her hair, in her eyes or behind her ears!

This is her "I'm a chubby girl" look

All washed up and clean...now she plays! We haven't tried any toys in the bathtub yet so right now it is just lounging and splashing with her feet :)

Clean baby!

She was telling me how much she did NOT want to go to bed...

Can't Sit Still

We walked down to the bus stop to get Kali and I always just put Presley in her car seat and then put the car seat in the stroller and walk down there. I never strap her in because she is facing me and we don't have to walk very far so she just sits in there and looks around at everything...well I think it is time to ditch the car seat and move to just the stroller. The little booger kept sitting up and playing!

She is growing up so fast!

This was her bed that she slept in for about the first 8 weeks she was here. I love this little thing..she never liked sleep straight on her back and this thing would hold her in a little cocoon almost! Since she has gotten to long for it, it just sits in our room and I put her in there while I am getting ready in the mornings. Well.....

Don't think we will be using it any longer, lol. She has learned how to roll over and pretty much pull herself up in it. She has become quite the little mover :) So we will put this little bed up for the next little Lynn that may use it one day!!!
