Coloring Easter Eggs

Crazy to think that it is time to color Easter Eggs already. I feel like just yesterday was Christmas. Guess it's true what they say, "time flies when you're having fun!"

I of course found a fun, new, creative way to color eggs from Pinterest so I had to try it. Instead of using the pre-made kits from the store, we used kool-aid. It made my kitchen smell amazing. I love the smell of kool-aid..reminds me of summer days at my Grandma's house in Chicago. Anyhoo...was I 100% sold on it, not really, but it was fun to play around with.

Kali started off coloring her eggs. I made a dozen (6 for Kali and 6 for Presley).

Presley actually did very good for it being her first time. I put the egg in her hand and she dropped in the color she wanted to use....Ok really what happened was, yes she held on to it herself, but that was the problem...she wanted to hold onto it even in the color. So I had to kinda shake her hand loose, lol.

Kali made some really pretty ones from mixing colors.

Presley wanted to get her egg out on her own.

She was an egg colorin fool :)

Of course Daddy had to give some belly kisses

And Presley gives some lovin

I think Daddy was more excited about this then baby was

And the finished product. Like I said, was I completely happy with the kool-aid....not so much ONLY because my color selection was very scarce when I went to wal-mart. Just a mental note to self...next year we will do the regular coloring dye.

Kali loved it because she could get her fingers in there. The nice part is, the dye did come off when she took a shower.
