Basketball and Sleep Over

Kelly had drill this weekend which meant it was a girls weekend here at the house. It was a busy but laid back weekend...if that makes any sense. First on the list of things to do was Kali's basketball game...

Kinda hard to see but Kali is number 40. She is the one with her back towards me in the middle. They played hard and had good passes but unfortunately they didn't win.

She looks so big in this picture to me. It seems like over night she has sprouted up and is extra tall these days. But these girls that she was playing against were a good head taller than her. That is what killed them. Anytime they tried to pass the ball the other girls could just reach up and grab it :(

Number 3 on the other team was the shortest one...most of them were the size of the other girl on the other side of Kali.

When we got home it was time to clean out Kali's room. She has a bad habit of collecting things (to put it mildly) :) We went through all her book and took out all the "baby" books she had. She is reading chapter books now so there is no reason to have the other books taking up space in her desk. We put all the coloring things together, notebooks together (which we counted and she has more than 10!!!) all different sizes! Went through all her stuff animals that were taking over her bed. I was very proud of her, she went through everything and had no problems throwing stuff away. She had 3 different posters with the kids names on it in her class...she threw away 2 of them and kept 1! I told her that once a month we will have to go through and do a deep cleaning in there because she collects stuff all the time. Since she did such a good job cleaning out her room she had Elizabeth stay the night....

They put on a puppet show! They took a pair of Kali's white socks and made them into sock puppets. This was the program Kali gave me for the puppet show.

This is Stripey and Little Girl....

I really couldn't tell you what the point of the story was cause there was just a bunch of roaring and screaming! But I do know that it took place in the woods :)

They put on a good show :)

Kali with her creation!

and Elizabeth with hers :)

This weekend Kelly had a Dinning Out Military Dinner to go to Saturday night. Because I don't really care to go to those things for a couple of reasons...first off, having to find a dress, get dressed up to go to these things seriously stresses me out. Since having Presley my since of style has seriously vanished. No joke! That is one of the reasons why I always wear something comfy. Second, the dinner was in Fort Smith which means..you guessed it, having to pack everyone up. And by everyone that includes the dogs and having to board them. What a pain! So long story short, the easiest thing was for me to stay home with the kids and take Kali to her game and Kelly invited Gwen to be his date. Which actually worked out perfectly because it is Kendall and Gwen's anniversary weekend and since Kendall is still out of town, Kelly was able to take Gwen out! So all in all it was a good night!
