Happy New Years!

We had a very QUITE and laid back New Years. I got home from Rogers and Kelly wanted some snacks to munch on throughout the day so I ran to the store and got some lil smokies and queso. Easy and good...my kind of snack! We made tacos for dinner and then did was I love to do...and that is graze on food the rest of the night.

Kelly and Presley went to bed about 9 or so because both of them weren't feeling great. So Kali played in her room and I caught up on my Y&R on the dvr that I had missed from the previous week. Kelly woke up about 11:30 and Kali, Kelly and I watched the ball drop, had a glass of sparkling grape juice (ok I had a sip because it was so sweet) and then we all went to bed. Aren't we exciting! Happy 2012.

6 Months

6 months old and teething. Oh this stage is fun. You are usually my happy, smiley, playful little girl and the past few days you have not felt good and everything goes to the mouth. Teething is so much fun. You are still the most kissable little baby I know :)

At 6 months of age, you are......

* Still in size 2 diapers

* Sleeping a little better. Your naps are getting a little longer and when you wake up in the middle of the night you can be rocked back to sleep instead of always needing to eat.

* Still a breastfed baby

* Eating people food pureed

* Love to be in the walker. You mastered going backwards right off the back and since yesterday can now go forward too.

* Wearing between 6-12 month clothes

* Putting on the pounds (which is good). You haven't had your 6 month check up yet but I weighted you here at the house and you are up to 14 pounds. And yes I can tell when I hold you that you are heavier.

* Still loving every moment that your big sisters make any sort of contact with you.

* Sitting up in a high chair while you eat

* Sitting up in the bathtub during your baths. You still like to fall forward of straight back if you are playing with something and get excited, so I always have my hand on you so you don't hit your head in the tub.

* Talking up a storm. You make this high pitch squeal when you are really happy, or this monotone hum noise when it looks like you have something important to say.

* Cutting teeth horribly but nothing has broken through yet.

* Sitting up in shopping carts on your own. Can I say how much I love not having to lug that car seat around everywhere :)

* Still a momma's girl :) Don't ever change that ok?!?!?

Christmas Day 2011

No, I didn't forget about Christmas Eve, I am just waiting on pics to be emailed to me. So once I get those I will back track and blog about that.

Luckily Christmas between my side and Kelly's side of the family is very easy. My family celebrates Christmas on Christmas Eve and Kelly's family celebrates on Christmas Day. Funny, but that was one of the first questions Kendall asked me on our first date...(that is mine and Kelly's first date!) lol. So every Christmas Eve after we have opened all the presents with my family, Kelly and I load everything up and head to Fort Smith.

We got to Kendall and Gwen's about 1 am. Kali had fell asleep in the car on the way down, so when we got there she just went up stairs to bed. Presley was asleep (and slept the whole way down!!) and surprisingly stayed asleep when I got her out of her car seat. And Gwen had picked Sara up that night. so she was up with Gwen when we got there. We all were exhausted so we all hit the hay so Santa could come :)

Garrett and Gina and Presley were the first up...the other two sleeping beauties were up in the game room snoozin.

Presley got her first sippy cup from Santa. I can't wait till she is using it. She was holding it like a pro and would put it in her mouth and try and drink out of it but would just throw it down when nothing was coming out.

She also got some more teething rings...she loves them! Can never have to many of those.

Sara didn't realize that Santa brought her a NetBook. She looked at it and thought it was Gwen's and just looked at her stocking. I finally asked her if she liked the computer and her face lit up when she figured out it was for her...to funny!

Santa brought Kali a bike. She was so excited because she has been saying how her other one was to small for her.

Kali was showing Kelly how to make a Wuggle Pet (I think that it is what it was called) basically it is like build a bear but smaller, lol.

Chillaxing after opening presents.

After we opened presents Kelly loaded up all three girls and took them over to Mimi and Poppa's to visit. This was the first time Presley went on a car ride with her daddy and sisters WITHOUT mommy. I was so nervous. I stayed at Gwen's and cooked the whole time they were gone. I had to do something to keep my mind off of not having my baby in my arms. They were gone 2 hours and after the first hour it took everything inside me not to text Kelly every 5 mins and say "how is she?", "How is she now?" But they came back safe and sound and Presley was sleeping in her seat and apparently was perfect during her visit. Way to go kiddo!

Presley first Christmas Present

So Aunt Annye was chomping at the bit to give Presley her first Christmas present. So the night before Christmas, Annye asked me if it was ok if Presley could open her gift from her. Why not!

She got her Sofia the Giraffe...she loves to chew on that thing.

Aunt Annye took this pic. I AM IN LOVE WITH IT. I want to blow it up and frame it. I could just sit and stare at it all night. Those eyes...those lips...I just want to eat her up.

Decorating Mom and Dad's Tree

When Laddie was over in Italy she told mom that she wanted to help decorate the tree so mom wasn't supposed to put it up till she got home. Well it just so happened to fall at the same time as Presley and I being home...so we got in on the action also :)

We made mom go back and put the beads and candles on the tree....I hate doing that job.

While Bubka was finishing the tree Aunt Annye and Presley danced around to some Christmas music.

Back to Arkansas

December 15th, Presely and I (and the dogs) loaded up and headed back to Rogers before anyone else got there for Christmas because dad was flying home on the 16th and I wanted to be there and enjoy some quite time with him before everyone else came.

The night we arrived, Laddie was working at Louies and I wanted to go see her so Mom, Presley and I went and had dinner there..it was pretty tasty.

This was her first time sitting in a high chair. She thought she was the coolest thing, getting to sit on her own and watch everyone around us..she is soooo my daughter :)

Of course Bubka was there to pick her up the second she was unhappy :) She was telling us exactly what she thought...THE WHOLE TIME :)

O Christmas Tree

This year we have had a "house guest" since the begining of December. 

He came to our house when we got back from Fort Smith and Kali named him "Sam." Last night Sam brought back a Christmas Tree and stockings, and had everything set up for Kali when she woke up. He left a couple boxes of ornaments next to the tree and told her that when she got home from school her and Presley could decorate it.

Game 1 of Championship

We had to be back in Norman on Tuesday so Kali could play in her basketball game. It was the first game of the championship. This is the first time Kali's team has been this far PLUS they were undefeated...so this was a pretty cool deal.

We had just got back into town from Fort Smith and it was an evening game so Presley just wore her jammies to the game. Didn't stop her from watching her big sis play.

We ended up winning the game! We are now onto the Championship game! One more and we are the champs!

Uncle Kendall's Home :)

Uncle Kendall came home on his R&R and since he isn't going to be able to be home for Christmas, we wanted to go home and hang out with him for a few days and let Presley meet him for the first time. I was so happy that she took to him just fine. She let him hold her and give her sugars and didn't complain once. It was an nice and low key visit. Just hanging out at the house and having people come see us, instead of always having to go see people. I love it. Gwen had an open house on Sat for anyone who wanted to stop by and say hi to Kendall so that was nice. It ended up being Gwen and Kendall and their clan, Us, Jerry and Kelli and their kids, Tony and Rachael and their kids, Nanny and Papa, Nathan and Andrea and Michael and his wife Jennifer and then some of Gwen's friends...we all had a blast. Poor Uncle Kendall, between the get-lag and having fun, he crashed out early.

While we were all in town Nanny and Papa had all of us over for a spaghetti dinner and to put Christmas decorations up. The only ones missing where Sara and Chris.
